These
are all our reviews. We are constantly watching, and reviewing
new anime. In time we will also add the older and classic shows.
All
of the reviews you find here are done by fans for fans, we will
never give away a plot or tell you half the story so you know
what wil happen before you even popped in the tape or DVD. A
lot of the shows that we watch are fansubbed show, meaning shows
that are captured from TV in japan or taken from a japanese
DVD. These shows are then translated and subtitled by fans for
fans.
There
has been a lot of controversy around fansubs in the past, and
I doubt if it will ever be accepted 100%. Right now people are
either for (its great, we watch shows that might never be released
outside of japan, and we promote the shows that do make it to
the western countries) or against (you guys are stealing from
the industry by not purchasing originals and promoting such
behavior by subtitling them.)
Personaly
I am 100% for fansubbing for several reasons. 1. In my oppinion
we promote anime as a whole, someone that might not have been
convinced to shell out $25 for a tape or DVD downloads a fansubs,
watches it and ends up purchasing anime from here on out. I
can not begin to tell you how many of my friends, online and
offline, have started watching and buying anime after being
introduced to fansubbed shows.
Other
reason's I prefer fansubbed anime vs. industry subbed anime
is speed! I have no idea why it takes an official studio sometimes
up to years to complete a translation process, some fansubbed
series are released the same day, or the next after a show has
aired in japanese television.
Accuracy,
ha! fansubbers have no political corectness feature, the best
thing about anime is that nothing is held back, that includes
language!!
I
am not saying the fansubs are a substitute for official releases
tho. As soon as a title has been licenced we urge you to stop
spreading the fansubbed copy, and purchase the official release.
One
thing that official releases will never be equaled in is quality
of picture and sound.
Anyway,
I'm off. This right side looked extremely empty when I added
the list of reviews so I thought I'd fill it up with some of
my jabber, it worked out quite nicely.
Have
fun, and remember, spread the word, not the disk, ehr , avi.
